The third and final event in the 2019 Traditional Building Conference Series was all about Materials and Methods: Windows and Exteriors, October 29-30, at the historic Graylyn Estate in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

The immaculately preserved 55-acre property proved to be an appropriate venue to host nearly two hundred architects; facilities managers; restoration and renovation contractors; building owners; classicists, and preservationists. The former residence of Mr. and Mrs. Bowman Gray, built in the 1920s, Graylyn Estate is now an executive conference center, with 85 private guest rooms, 15 meeting rooms, and overflowing with old-world charm.

The Traditional Building Conference education focused on the appropriate application of replacement windows and the sensitive restoration of windows and exteriors.
