Honest Abe was established in 1979 by a native of Moss, Tenn., and that is where our National Headquarters resides today, still owned by the family of our founder.

With so many years of experience and thousands of homes completed, Honest Abe is a stable company that offers dependability throughout the process of becoming a wood home owner.

Honest Abe Log Homes sells, designs, manufactures and builds log, timber frame, SIP and hybrid homes. Plans are drafted by our in-house design team and are customized to each homeowners' needs and desires.

Each log or timber frame home is pre-cut, notched and numbered using modern, state-of-the-art manufacturing methods. These pre-cut packages are shipped throughout the United States and beyond.

A variety of log systems as well as a timber frame system are available. Honest Abe offers 6x8 and 8x8 milled D-Logs with butt-and-pass corners. Another D-Log profile, 6x12 and 8x12, is offered with dovetail corners. An 8x8 milled round log features an interlocking corner system unique to Honest Abe. A second round system is our 10” log with saddle notched logs and Swedish-coped corners. The Genesis log system is a “square” system available in 6x12 or 8x12 logs. It features dovetailed corners and options like exterior chinking or hand-hewing. Finally, the log system on which our company was built, the 6x10 Original Chinked, has dovetailed corners and chinking inside and out.

Honest Abe offers more than just log walls. Our packages include doors and windows, subfloor, second-story beams with tongue-and-groove, various roof styles, porches and decks, interior trim, interior doors and interior tongue-and-groove. All of this makes for a complete dry-in package.

Honest Abe will tailor each package to meet a customer’s needs. Honest Abe will even contract to build the home to a dry-in stage within certain distances of the national headquarters.

Honest Abe operates four company-owned sales models in Tennessee that sell our homes. These are located in the Tennessee towns of Cookeville, Crossville, Moss and Murfreesboro. Additionally, a network of independent dealerships situated throughout the U.S. offer home and commercial sales. Many provide real estate and construction services as well.

Honest Abe's interior design service, Cooper & Co., provides full design services from floor plan consultation through move-in.
